Experience Chinese Sports (Kung Fu)
Class led by: Koji Yamamoto
After stretching and warming up, train basic stances before attempting the fast tai chi chuan movements of "kung fu exercise."

Experience South Korean Sports (Taekwondo)
Class led by: Members of Nagasaki Prefecture Taekwondo Association
The commands in Taekwondo are made in Korean: Hana (1), Dul (2), Set (3), Net (4). Chirugi (kicks) are practised on focus mitts, before trying out the techniques in two-person sparring.

Chinese Cookery Class (making jiăozi dumplings)
Class led by: Rinko Kiura (Nagasaki City Language Specialist)
At Chinese new year, people celebrate by eating boiled dumplings. In this class, participants will prepare delicious dumplings, making the dough and the filling themselves.

Discover Interesting Asian Culture!
2009 ASIAN EXCHANGE FESTIVAL
The theme for this event was "Discovering Interesting Asian Culture." There was panel discussion with exchange students, displays of sports and traditional arts from various Asian countries, and explanations of culture in different areas of Asia.

A demonstration of Taekwondo, the national sport of Korea that has become an Olympic event.
●Panel Discussion: Discovering Interesting Asian Culture
Through this interesting discussion of the differences between culture and lifestyle in Japan and various other Asian nations, we made many discoveries. The discussion ended with the panelists recommending things about their own countries.

Traditional Chinese Music Performance
Performers: Yun Hai, Ya Jintu
Two performers from Inner Mongolia sang and played the morin khuur.
Traditional Korean Performance
Performers: Kansu Park Janggu Class
A performance of traditional Korean samul nori music, which uses four kinds of percussion instrument. As they played, the musicians performed an acrobatic dance called punmul nori.
Traditional Thai Performance
Performer: Harich Mitrchaowaphas
A performance of Fon Sao-mai (the silk-spinning dance), a tradition of northern Thailand.
